Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “Life Force Energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “Life Force Energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “Life Force Energy”. So, Reiki is actually “Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy.”
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit, creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an “attunement” given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of “life force energy” to improve one’s health and enhance the quality of life.

Join us on a deep exploration into the world of Reiki. The Usui Reiki System is divided into three segments or classes. Reiki Levels I, II and III make up the complete system. The Master Degree is available for those who wish to teach and Attune others. The Grand Master Degree class is only available for those who have been practicing Reiki for at least one year. These hands-on retreats include a comprehensive manual, the Level I, II, III Attunement and a beautiful Reiki Certificate suitable for framing. Class sizes are small and intimate, allowing you individual time with our Reiki Grand Master and many opportunities to practice your new skills.
Reiki is a pure form of energy healing not dependent on individual talent or any special abilities. It does not take years of practice. It is a technique passed on from the teacher to the student by means of an Attunement. As soon as this happens, one has the Reiki channel open and can use it for the rest of your life. It is easily learned by anyone and the feeling of being connected directly to healing love and protection is clearly present from the start of your class through your Attunement and beyond!
Reiki Level I (First Degree): If you want to feel centered and bring a sense of peace and healing into every day, start by giving yourself the gift of self-healing by learning Reiki. In doing so, you open up doors to wonderful shifts in healing energy. Not only do you learn self-treatment, but you learn how to practice on your friends and family as well. No prior experience or training is required for First Degree training – all are welcome! First Degree (or Level I) is for those who wish to start their healing journey and figure out if they would like to focus on self-healing only, or go on to become a Reiki practitioner.
Reiki Level II (Second Degree): For those who wish to refine and strengthen the use and flow of Reiki, with the option of moving on to become a Reiki practitioner. Requirements: Reiki First Degree Certification verification.
Reiki Level III (Third Degree): In many courses, the Third Degree and Reiki Master Degree are the same designation. However, we separate Level 3 from Reiki Master Teacher Degree, in order to emphasize the difference between receiving the Master attunement, from being trained in attuning new students or practitioners. Requirements: Reiki First- and Second-Degree Certification verification.
Reiki Master-Teacher Degree: For those who wish to pursue a lifetime commitment to Reiki and spiritual growth, and be able to pass on the gift of Reiki to others. You do not have to teach for this level to be useful, as you will receive additional healing energy, symbols, techniques and knowledge that will add value to your healing abilities. Requirements: Reiki First, Second and Third-Degree Certification verification.
Note: If you have not received Level I, II and/or III from All India Institute of Spiritual Science, a one-hour session is required prior to class to verify level I, II, and III training, determine goals, skill level, and readiness for Master-Teacher training.
Becoming a Reiki Grand Master also represents a deep commitment to the Reiki practice, and some feel that significant time should pass between achieving the Master Degree status and Grand Master Degree. Because the Grand Master Level is taught in a wide range of methods, you should meditate on which path feels right for you and spend time and consideration in selecting Grand Master Degree.
The distant Reiki Grand Master 7-20 attunements expand upon the original Reiki system and add new symbols, practices, and energetic tools for personal and spiritual growth. Although not part of the original Reiki system, the Reiki Grand Master attunements build upon it and as such have a remarkable sense of familiarity. Each level or degree (often called secret degrees due to some of the symbols having being removed from the original system) has a symbol and specific focus area that build upon each other the higher you work up the levels. The term Grand Master is, of course, subjective and does not impart any particular level of skill or separation from other levels of Reiki. It is used to imply that they are additional to the Reiki Master level, which is a prerequisite of working with the Reiki Grand Master attunements. True mastery takes time, practice, and dedication. However, working with these levels is often an exciting and rewarding journey that may reveal many learning discoveries and assist in increasing spiritual expansion.

Reiki can boost the immune system, increase endorphin levels, and transmit healing energy to organs and glands as it balances the corresponding chakra. Reiki activates the endocrine system, it can lower blood pressure and speed physical as well as emotional, mental and spiritual healing. It can move us into meditative Alpha, Theta and Delta brainwave states, allowing us to access solutions (during or after a session) to our issues. Reiki moves us out of the 3rd dimensional reality of our daily lives and into alternate states of Consciousness. Seeing or sensing Angels and Archangels, Ascended Masters and other Beings of Light is a common occurrence.
